This mini-course will be organized around readings on topics that continue to be of central interest in morphological theory; in particular:

1. The architecture of the grammar, with a specific focus on how the interfaces interpret abstract morphemes

2. Locality of different types, with a focus on contexts for allomorphy and allosemy

3. Blocking and competition, and the continuing relevance of these notions to key topics in morphological theory.

Overview readings will be augmented by papers and case-studies from the primary literature.
